Installation & Care
LeFlore & Henry peel-and-stick panels are designed for a confident DIY install. Give yourself an unhurried afternoon, a clean wall, and a second pair of hands for taller panels.
Prepare your surface
- Walls must be smooth, clean, dry, and fully cured. Fresh paint needs at least 30 days to cure before application.
- Wash the wall with a mild, residue-free cleaner and let it dry completely.
- Peel-and-stick wallpaper is not recommended for heavily textured walls, damp or humid areas, unfinished drywall, or surfaces with flaking paint.
Install
- Plan your layout. Decide whether to start from a corner or the center of the wall, and mark a level vertical guideline for your first panel — this line determines how straight everything else hangs.
- Peel gradually. Remove the top 12 inches of backing and position the panel against your guideline before committing.
- Smooth as you go. Working top to bottom, peel the backing away in stages while smoothing the panel with a felt squeegee or soft cloth, pressing from the center outward to push out air.
- Butt the seams. Align the next panel edge-to-edge against the previous one — do not overlap seams.
- Trim cleanly. Use a sharp blade and a straightedge at ceilings, baseboards, and outlets. Change blades often; a dull blade tears rather than cuts.
Care
- Dust or wipe with a soft, damp cloth. A drop of mild soap is fine for marks.
- Avoid abrasive pads, solvents, and bleach-based cleaners.
- As with any printed surface, prolonged direct sunlight will soften color over time.
Removal
Peel slowly from a top corner, pulling the panel back on itself at a low, steady angle. If a section resists, warm it briefly with a hair dryer on low. On properly prepared, cured walls, panels remove cleanly — one reason renters love them.
